THE WHOLE CROSSINGS CONGREGATION CAN BE UNITED AS ONE IF…


  1. I WILL DEVOTE MYSELF TO JESUS AS THE RESURRECTED LORD AND KING.


He showed His apostles that He was alive—appearing to them repeatedly over a period of 40 days, giving them many convincing proofs of His resurrection. As before, He spoke constantly of the kingdom of God. During these appearances, He had instructed His chosen messengers through the Holy Spirit, prohibiting them from leaving Jerusalem, but rather requiring them to wait there until they received what He called “the promise of the Father.” The Father, on His own authority, has determined the ages and epochs of history, but you have not been given this knowledge.

They did more than we expected. First, they gave themselves to the Lord.

Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!” Then the apostles returned to Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives, a distance of half a mile.

  1. I WILL DEVOTE MYSELF TO THE LEADERSHIP GOD PROVIDED FOR ME.


In those days Peter stood up among the believers (a group numbering about a hundred and twenty) and said, ‘Brothers and sisters, the Scripture had to be fulfilled in which the Holy Spirit spoke long ago through David concerning Judas, who served as guide for those who arrested Jesus. He was one of our number and shared in our ministry. (With the payment he received for his wickedness, Judas bought a field; there he fell headlong, his body burst open and all his intestines spilled out. Everyone in Jerusalem heard about this, so they called that field the, Field of Blood.

‘For,’ said Peter, ‘it is written in the Book of Psalms:

‘“May his place be deserted; let there be no one to dwell in it,” and,

‘“May another take his place of leadership.”

They did more than we expected. First, they gave themselves to the Lord. Then they gave themselves to us because that was what God wanted.

  1. I WILL DEVOTE MYSELF TO THE DOCTRINE DELIVERED FOR ME.


Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This promise is to you, to your children, and to those far away—all who have been called by the Lord our God.” Then Peter continued preaching for a long time, strongly urging all his listeners, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation!” Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day— 3,000 in all. All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching…

What’s mine is  mine.         It’s mine until I say it’s not.           What’s mine is theirs.

All the believers devoted themselves to … to PRAYER.
